Reflection

It has been a pleasure to have the ability to analyze the systems of the Bridgestone Tower in Nashville, Tennessee.  Throughout the thesis process, I have had the opportunity to challenge the education that I have received over the past 4 years in the Architectural Engineering Program.  Although the college experience has it's ups and downs, this program has challenged me to be the best student and future member of the industry that I can possibly be.

When we first began this journey of our final year at the end of last spring (2016) I asked a professor what the point was to thesis. Unfortunately he did not have an answer.  A different professor that was also in the room took this opportunity to explain that this was a culmination of our efforts throughout the past 4 years of the program and that it would give us a taste of what was to come once we all had jobs.  Although I don't think that this thesis program would be quite what we will be doing in the field, it did help me to use my knowledge gained and to apply it in different ways; to find possible problems, offer possible solutions, and look into the viability of those solutions to make recommendations.

My hope is that the future of the program continues to be as rigorous as today to help continue the traditions of the program while remaining to stay relevant as an industry leading program.
